We've Been Born For A Purpose
How many times have all of us wondered what our purpose in life is? Why were we born? Most would say that we could find that purpose if we seek it through Christ. Yet in an increasing number of self-centered, self-indulgent, pleasure-oriented individuals, they profess that our purpose is to succeed for self. That purpose is derived through financial independence, professional success, social recognition and social acceptance. In striving to achieve the aforementioned initiatives do we consider family or God? Let's explore what I deem to be the most essential element of purpose and that's divine purpose.
To truly seek after divine purpose in our lives would mean having to remove ourselves from the center of focus and embrace the idea of a God-centered life, one in which God gives us purpose and direction. It would truly mean having to ask ourselves, "Who am I and who has God created me to be? What is my purpose in life?" We would have to take a position between pursuing our own personal self-interests or confronting the issues of social justice and morality that we face in our nation today.

God has ordained all of us for some special purpose. Finding out what that purpose is takes courage and a willingness to be still and listen. Once we've accepted God's divine purpose for our lives, it often means having to take an unpopular social position at home, in our community, and in our workplace. Yet we can do so knowing that the Lord has declared: " Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,' declares the Lord" ( Jeremiah 1:8). So therefore it becomes a matter of choice, for some hear and do not obey, while others hear and attempt to redesign the plan for their convenience.

Isn't God, " Grand?" He created all the earth and us... He gave woman the ability to conceive and give birth... He gave us the rules by which to co-exist... He gave us the ability to make choices... He gave us each a divine purpose... And He offers unto us the keys to the kingdom.

May the Lord continue to bless each of you with blessings both seen and unseen.
